Casey Heim grew up in Mansfield,
Ohio. Mansfield is known as the birthplace of
Frank Darabont's Shawshank Redemption
and Casey Heim.
Casey graduated magna cum laude from
Ohio's Bowling Green State University in 2001
with a dual major in political science and economics.
She went on to law school at Pepperdine University's
School of Law, where she receieved her JD in 2004.
Casey now works as legal counsel for Indiebuyer/Had
To Be Made, a company which arranges distribution
of independent films to independent video retailers.
Had To Be Made also has a division dealing with
production, which Casey works with as well.
GSOAT was Casey's first effort at producing,
which is probably good, because if she had produced
more she would have listened when people said
"This film is too big - it's unproduceable!"
Armed with a charming naiveté, she walked
boldly into the mayhem and produced the unproduceable
film.
Casey is looking forward to producing her next
film, and in the meantime is collapsed in a corner
recuperating, mumbling about the Amish and the
EIDC.
